ISA and XVA join forces for the competition for the design of the Metro Station 20 in Sofia.
The entrance of the subway has an elevated platform for concerts and public gatherings.
The design allows for natural light to enter underground until the trains.

The symposium was held at Pratt Institute with guests: Kenneth Frampton, Ana Maria Duran, Giancarlo Mazzanti, Alfredo Brillembourg, and Barry Bergdoll.

The program by The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) choses experts for projects by the European Union.
The exhibition Breaking Borders - New Latin American Architecture, curated by Ivan Shumkov and Latin Pratt, opened with speeches by Dean Hanrahan and Ivan Shumkov.
Final review with special guests including Santiago Calatrava, Dean Thomas Hanrahan, Kelly Wilson, etc.

Ivan Shumkov lectured on "The Architecture of the XXI Century" at the MIT-Harvard Club in Bogota. The lecture was hosted in the Uniandinos Alumni Club of the Univerisdad de los Andes. The lecture will be followed by a conversation with the members of the MIT-Harvard Club.

Ivan Shumkov lectured at the National University in Bogota, Colombia. The lecture is part of the conferences “The Interpretation of the Modern Project”. The lecture was followed by a conversation with Prof. Juan Carlos Aguilera, director of the School of Architecture and students from the university.
OAB - OFFICE OF ARCHITECTURE IN BARCELONA EXHIBIT IN NEW YORK

Ivan Shumkov and Borja Ferrater curated and exhibit on the work of OAB - Office of Architecture in Barcelona . The exhibit is hosted by Pratt Institute School of Architecture and will start on March 21 and close on April 25. The opening lecture by Carlos and Borja Ferrater was on March 31 in the Higgins Hall Auditorium followed by a reception.

Ivan Shumkov teaches Design Studio 302 and History and Theory 209 at Pratt Institute School of Architecture. The topic of the studio is a Dia Red Hook Museum in Brooklyn, NY. Gabriel Calatrva is a structural engineering consultant for the studio. The Studio visited the office of Santiago Clatrava in April 2011.
